A male lion rests majestically amidst the shadows of the dense undergrowth. The enormous mane, a symbol of power and majesty, spreads out around his head. A striking contrast to this image of royal calm is the gaping wound, clearly visible on his right flank. Red blood colours his golden coat and tells of the fierce battles of life in the wilderness.
The injury, probably inflicted by a rival or during the hunt, is silent proof of the harshness of the African savannah. Yet the expression in the lion's eyes remains unbroken, a watchful eye observing its surroundings and testifying to the unwavering nature of the king of beasts. This haunting scene captures not only the raw reality of the struggle for survival, but also the quiet determination and indomitable presence of this majestic animal.
