Alberobello is one of the most popular places in the heel of Italy. Here, people come from far and wide to see the extraordinary Trulli. (Singular Trullo).
These white, limestone houses with cone-shaped roofs can be found all over this region but concentrate in Alberobello. The trulli are remarkable examples of cementless construction, a prehistoric building technique. A special piece of history and very photogenic.
In the centre of Alberobello, the Aia Piccola, you will find more than 1,000 Trulli together. It is also possible to view the Trulli from above from vantage point Belvedere Santa Lucia. The Trulli are on UNESCO's world heritage list.
A tourist attraction not to be missed in the south of Italy.
