Light trails from a bumper car – a long-exposure shot at the funfair by Mixed media vector arts

The image shows a bumper car ride, photographed using a long exposure. The cars themselves dissolve into coloured trails of light that sweep across the shiny surface of the floor. Vertical and horizontal neon tubes in shades of violet, blue and pink frame the space and are reflected in the floor. The long exposure abstracts the familiar fairground motif, transforming it into a play of lines, rhythm and reflection. The inspiration for this image was the visual experience of a bumper car ride at night, where speed, artificial light and music merge into a dense impression. The resulting atmosphere is urban, cool and yet vibrant. Movement is palpable, yet individual vehicles are not clearly discernible. The space appears open and vast, almost detached from time and place, whilst the light imposes a clear order. In interior design, the work harmonises particularly well with modern, minimalist and industrial styles. It suits lofts, contemporary living spaces, creative offices or interiors influenced by urban art and modern photographic art. References to abstract photography, light art and the documentation of fleeting states characterise the work. What makes this image special is the combination of an everyday fairground ride with a minimalist, almost graphic visual language. It brings dynamism to the space without appearing restless, and invites the viewer to perceive movement as a trail. The message conveyed revolves around transience, speed and the distinctive aesthetics of artificial light worlds.
