About the artwork

The painting presents a fascinating scenario in which rays of light from two different directions seem to meet in the sky. Normally, such intersections of light sources are nothing unusual and occur frequently in the everyday world. But here a mind game emerges that challenges perception: Are there really two suns in the sky? Do two independent sources of radiation exist?

The answer is that there is only one sun, but this representation makes us think about the nature of reality. When does something correspond to reality, and how is reality defined? These questions touch on physical as well as religious, metaphysical aspects.

The sky above this scenario is characterised by movement and dynamics. Gusts, storms and wind power can be felt in the swirling cloud formations. The rays of light break through the clouds and create a fascinating distribution of light in the sky.

The landscape under this sky drama shows an impressive tree shape. The branches and leaves shine in the centre of the light and the trunk of the tree extends firmly into the ground, symbolising its rootedness in reality.

Overall, this painting invites the viewer to reflect on the perception of reality, light and shadow, and the connection between nature and metaphysics. It is an invitation to reflect on what we consider real and normal, and how these concepts influence our view of the world.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
