About "Late summer whispers - pink hydrangea"

About the artwork

The flowers still speak softly as summer fades away. The series 'Indian summer whispers' is about the beauty of impermanence.

A hydrangea at the end of its flowering period. The flowers are no longer bright, but show soft nuances of pink and a hint of blue. The discolourations give the flower a subdued beauty, as if it is slowly saying goodbye to summer.

I wanted to capture this moment because it is such an intermediate stage: no longer full of bloom, not yet completely withered. It is precisely in this transition that the hydrangea shows a unique layering, a story of time and change.

The image exudes softness and a certain melancholy. It feels like a quiet reminder of warm days, combined with the first hints of autumn. For me, this work is about transitions and letting go, but also about appreciating each stage of beauty.

This is not a photograph, but a scan directly from the flower itself. This makes the colour gradations and fine details of the petals almost tangible. The subtle textures and hues take on a softness.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
