St Michael's Mount (Cornish: Carrek Loos y'n Coos) is a civil parish in the United Kingdom. At low tide it is accessible by land, and at high tide the island is surrounded by water.
It is located on the south coast in the county of Cornwall, near the town of Penzance.
On the island are a castle and a 15th-century chapel. The island was bought by Colonel John St Aubyn in 1659 and is still owned by the St Aubyn family. However, the whole is managed by the National Trust.
It was the second time I had the opportunity to see this beautiful and well-known site with my own eyes.
