Landscape with willows along a farm road. Pieter Ringoot - oil on canvas by Galerie Ringoot

This impressionistic landscape by Pieter Ringoot (1921-2011) captures the silence of the Flemish countryside in a few powerful, refreshing touches. Presumably, this work was painted somewhere near the East Flemish town of Lebbeke. The place where this Belgian artist lived for many years.

Along a farm road, a number of willows stand in a row, their trunks jagged and characterful, as if they have been guarding the same route for generations. A green meadow is visible on the left; on the right, the path runs into the depths towards some farms and houses in the distance.

Pieter Ringoot paints with a lively but controlled touch. His works are created only after several detailed preliminary studies and sketches.

In this work, you can see the texture of the oil paint, the play of light and shadow, and the variation in shades of green that let the landscape breathe. The image is not tightly detailed, but rather atmospheric, typically impressionistic. As a result, the work feels warm and timeless, as if you could walk right through it.

With its fresh green and earthy tones, this painting fits beautifully in a Scandinavian, rural or classic modern interior. Ideal for the living room, hallway or study. It is a peaceful eye-catcher that brings nature and space to your wall.

The original painting has a size of 48cm x 38cm.
