About "Landmannalaugar - Iceland"

About the artwork

The colourful hills of Landmannalaugar (an area around the town of Hella) is a valley in the interior of Iceland, to the east and not far from the famous volcano the Hekla. The valley is known for its ryolithic rock. The surrounding mountains are very colourful: yellow, red, brown and grey-green. Characteristic of this rock is that even a little sunlight makes the mountains light up, so to speak, so that they often look very "bright". Hot sulfur springs come out in a stream, and make it possible to bathe here even in cold weather.
In Landmannalaugar there is a hut of the Icelandic Hiking Association and its camping site. You can also get there by bus or rental car (4WD necessary). The gravel roads are closed outside the summer and not accessible because of snow and water.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
