About the artwork

Landing T-6 Harvard G-BJST "Wacky Wabbit" This Harvard 4 was built by Canadian Car and Foundry at Fort William in Canada in 1953. The North American T-6 Texan is a training aircraft produced by the US company North American Aviation. Outside the United States, the aircraft is known by the name Harvard. Its first flight was on 1 April 1935. A total of 15,495 aircraft were produced! The T-6 Texan is a robust and manoeuvrable aircraft that lends itself well to aerobatics and also dogfight training. Until the 1990s, the Harvard served as a military training aircraft. Countless fighter pilots around the world have been taught in a T-6 during their flight training. This picture was taken on 9 July 2016 during the Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford Airfield.
