Lake Isabella is a reservoir in the Kern River in California. It is the largest lake in California and is located northeast of Bakersfield and south of the Sequoia National Forest. It is the first green area you drive through from Nevada. It is a characteristic area due to its altitude and changing water level throughout the year.
