About ‘Laguna Hedionda and flamingos’ by Eveline Dekkers
Laguna Hedionda is a saline lake located at the Bolivian Altiplano. It lies at an altitude of 4,121 metres and is famous for the candy-coloured Andean flamingos! These are some of the rarest birds in the world and feed themselves on the algae and vascular plants in the lagoon.
