The Krimstermolen or also called Phoenix is located on the Boterdiep in Zuidwoldein the municipality of Het Hogeland in the province of Groningen. It is a polder mill and was built in the Kardingemaar in 1862. In 1903, the mill burned down and was rebuilt and improved in 1904. Since May 1977, the mill has stood on the east side of the Boterdiep and north of the Casper Hommes pumping station. The mill was long owned by the Molenstichting Hunsingo en Omstreken, the current owner is Stichting De Groninger Poldermolens. The mill runs regularly on a voluntary basis. 'De Krimstermolen', also known as 'De Phoenix' (after the bird Phoenix, which rose from its ashes) since its reconstruction in 1904, is the largest polder mill in the province of Groningen with a flight (dimensions of the sails) of 24.25 metres.
