About "Kitesurfing"

About the artwork

When I still lived in Haarlem, Wijk aan Zee was one of my favorite places to take my camera. Photography is my passion, and at the coast I always found new energy and inspiration.

On a sunny afternoon, I decided to take my camera equipment with me to capture the power of the sea and the dynamics of the sport. Kite surfing immediately caught my attention: the speed, excitement and tremendous power of the water combined in one image.

I focused my camera and waited for the right moment. Right as a surfer sliced through the waves and the water splashed up in a big arc, I pressed on. I managed to capture that one moment of pure power and freedom in this image.

At home, I carefully edited the shot in black and white. By leaving out the colors, the details of the splashing water and the silhouette of the surfer stand out even more. It makes the photo timeless and powerful at the same time.

For me, this work symbolizes the freedom of the sea and the energy of sport. An image that exudes not only movement and action, but also the beauty of a single, frozen moment.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
