They can be found near water, lurking on a branch hanging over the water for fish.
In this photo, the kingfisher is lurking for fish. It also keeps an eye on what's going on around it. If it sees something fishy, it makes itself small on the branch. It is a beautiful bird to watch and certainly to photograph.
