King Willem II visits the Squadron of Prince Hendrik at Vlissingen, Jean Antoine Théodore de Gudin (1844)
The visit of King William II, Prince William of Orange and the Hereditary Grand Duke of Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenbach to the squadron of Prince Hendrik of the Netherlands on the roadstead of Vlissingen on 14 July 1843. The company is on board the Koninklijke Jacht Leeuw in Vlissingen. The squadron was commanded by Prince Hendrik on the flagship Rijn and consisted of the frigates Sambre and Jason, the corvettes Castor and Boreas, the brigs Shark, Lynx and Arrow and the paddle steamer Bromo (far right)
