About ‘Kinderdijk in the glow of the sunset’ by Rêve

It was a cold afternoon in January 2026 and I had the ridiculous idea of heading o 'even' naar Kinderdijk te rijden, even ter informatie, dit is vanuit thuis ongeveer een uur rijden, dus dat 'even', wasn’t an option.
The weather was absolutely lovely – cold, but sunny with just a few clouds. Perfect weather for a beautiful sunset with stunning skies, or so I thought... An hour and a half after I’d set off, I was standing there at Kinderdijk; the sun was almost setting and, you guessed it, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky to be seen. What a bummer – there went my plan.
I’d never been there before, so it was lovely just to walk around and enjoy the surroundings for a while. After wandering around for a while, I sat down on a jetty to wait – waiting for the sun to set and hoping for perhaps just a brief glimpse of a beautiful sky. Nothing seemed to suggest it, but just as the sun was almost gone, a stunning palette of colours appeared in the sky quite unexpectedly, bringing with it a wonderfully warm light, which you can also see beautifully reflected on the little bridge.
A lovely scene, with a sense of calm from the still water and a warm atmosphere created by the light of the setting sun.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
