About "Katana Bloom Modern Geisha"

About the artwork

This painting presents a modern geisha in a calm frontal pose holding a katana close to the body. A single blossom softens the composition near the bun while transparent washes model cheek collar and the quiet reflection along the blade. Open white paper surrounds the figure so the silhouette stays crisp at large size. Up close you will find eyelash lines a gentle lip sheen and small steel glints that reward a slow look without crowding the face.

The image grew from sketchbook notes about grace and resolve. I wanted the sword to read as a line of focus rather than noise so the palette remains measured with warm coral notes balanced by cool slate and teal. The atmosphere is serene yet vigilant the still moment before action when breath settles and presence fills the room.

I built the work with layered watercolor washes to place the facial planes and the blade angle. Selective glazing refines the eyes mouth and guard edges and light dry brush defines hair strands floral rims and metal accents. A few lifted specks suggest air around the figure while the features remain clean. In interiors the piece anchors a wall with elegant clarity and pairs well with neutral walls warm wood and soft textiles.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
