The Kampen Kogge is a reconstructed kogge in Kampen. Therefore, Kampen is the only city in the Netherlands with a cog. The Kampen Kogge is a reconstruction of a wreck from 1336 that was found in the Flevopolder near Nijkerk. Besides information from this wreck, archival research has been done in order to incorporate as much original information as possible into the reconstruction. This has made it possible to build the kogge in an authentic manner. In the Middle Ages, a cog was built in four months. In Kampen, four years were spent on reconstructing the ship.
