Inspired by Japanese Kabuki theatres, I created this allover pattern incorporating Japanese cherry blossom, Japanese hand fans and hanging wisteria. Geometric gold shapes complete it. All elements are handmade: stamps, drawings, and I then digitally converted these into a beautiful Japanese pattern.

My work is like a musical composition, composed of many layers, rhythms and structures, with room for improvisation. The patterns play, the colours bloom and the shapes dance, usually in harmony and sometimes not :-) Whether it is a pattern, a picture or a painting, each design has its own rhythm, its own harmony and its own flow.
