About "KEEP ON RUNNING"

About the artwork

Despite the stark contrast between the natural beauty of the beach and the old rusty industry in the background, the boy felt a sense of freedom and excitement as he began to run. His feet pounded against the sand, his arms pumped along his sides and his heart raced with adrenaline.

As he continued to run, the boy began to feel connected to the beach and the industry in the background. He realized that both parts of the world were necessary and could coexist in harmony. Industry provided jobs, goods and services to people around the world, while the beach provided a space for people to connect with nature and find peace.

In this Mixed Media artwork, I mixed Acrylic paint with layers of magazine collage for the top of the work. This makes a lot of small print visible, especially when the work is printed in large format
For the beach and water part, I also used magazine paper , so texts and letters are still visible through the acrylic paint.
Over the collage part I painted the rusty industrial parts, the water and the boy with acrylic paint, combined with pastel crayons.
The painting contains a lot of small details.

I remembered that as a young girl I so much liked to cut images from magazines to paste them into school agendas, scrapbooks and even on my bedroom door. Add to this the fascination I always had for walls filled with old posters, flaking paint, scrappy billboards.. Read more…

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
