Altough the late summer sun was clearly out on the day this picture was taken, Autumn was showing it's first colours.
This picture is not made with a modern macro lens, but with a combination of a very old manual lens from the East, paired with a number of intermediate rings. It brings out only very small portions of the scene in focus, while throwing everything else out of focus, in a very lush, creamy way. The out of focus part of a photograph is of the most esthetic quality.
This method of photography has some very specific and mostly unexpected visual effects. The dreamy image quality reflects the nearly dreamjourney taken to make this picture.
