It's a big one! A Boeing C-17 Globemaster III of the Indian Air Force has just landed at Sakhir Air Base in Bahrain.
The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and goods to and from a main base or forward bases. The aircraft is large enough to transport a Chinook helicopter. It is also capable of tactical transport of for example wounded and for airdrops. The C-17 takes its name from two previous heavy transport aircraft, the C-74 Globemaster and the C-124 Globemaster II. The C-17 needs a runway length of 2316 m for take-off and 1060 m for landing because it is a large aircraft.
