About ‘Into the forest...’ by Thomas Heins
This photograph was taken during our trip through the Czech Republic in autumn 2026. At the end of the path, the sun cast a soft glow over the mighty trees. There was something magical about that moment. To me, developing it in black and white makes the image seem even more mystical.

I'm Thomas and I've been into photography since 2021. I got into this hobby when we travelled to Scandinavia. In the beginning I only took photos with a mobile phone. But I soon realised that the possibilities with a mobile phone are limited. Shortly afterwards, I bought my first camera and from then on I got even more involved with photography.
My aim is to show the world as I see it.
