Everyone in Breda knows the sight of "De Koepel". Breda's prison, which has been given a different function for a few years now. From the outside the building is certainly impressive, but when you step inside the dome, the true size and awareness of its function becomes truly overwhelming. The small cells are spread out over four rings, under the round roof in this echoing space. Part of the floor was given a modern glass look, while another part, with sports fields, retained its original appearance. It is almost impossible to imagine what it must have been like to meekly serve a sentence here. But that it was, especially for that time, an architectural masterpiece, is very clear. In any case, beautiful lines for the wall!
