The amazing blazing red colours of a monumental copper beech tree in autumn are an enormously impressive sight. The red colour caught the light from the rising sun behind me lighting up the fog still visible in the background which made this into a vibrant tree portrait with an almost painterly atmosphere. The colours of this tree are short-lived. One week later the luster had gone and the tree had lost half of its leaves already.
