About the artwork

The layer of ice may form in different ways, usually at the end of a period of frost , when the ground is frozen and there is a cold air layer present below freezing. This is possible because the ground often stays cold longer than the air flowing over it. A thaw attack usually starts at a few hundred meters altitude , where the less cold air flows . The colder air is freezing its lower temperature greater weight than the softer air. This tells the prince himself to the earth's surface to maintain the longest. If the cold air is persistent , we speak of a "cold adhesive .

The precipitation falls in the form of rain in the soft air, but the droplets cool road in the cold air back down to below freezing , one therefore also speaks about supercooled rain. Once the rain the cold ground or objects reached it, the supercooled rain is directly converted into ice. The ice that produces is called sleet . Freezing rain before, we speak of freezing rain . The result is the same: freezing rain can freeze to the ground and form a layer of ice , if the drops are not completely frozen . Freezing Rain can also serve as pieces of ice fall to the ground . If rain falls which is supercooled but freezes on the ground, there may in meteorology not strictly speaking be sleet , we speak of freezing rain . In warnings is no distinction here. One speaks therefore only of sleet and rain by a layer goes where it is below 0 degrees Celsius , hypothermia and touches like ice deposited on the grou
