About "Hourglass, abstract pattern in the sand"

About the artwork

Sand meets symmetry. On the Mediterranean coast, I often enjoy the sound of the waves and feel the soft sand on the soles of my feet. I am particularly inspired by the elegant structures and fine details in the wet sand, where the flowing water has left its mark. Here, the surface of the sand should stand as a symbol for the magic of the moment, which is part of the permanent change in nature. When I'm at the beach the clocks seem to tick a little slower and sometimes I think about the meaning of time. In my opinion, the structure of the sand resembles the shape of an hourglass.

Based on detail shots, I like to experiment with symmetry and symmetrical patterns. To emphasise abstraction, I combine both the naturally occurring structures of the sand and their reflection in one image.

This photo collage is dedicated to the abstract patterns and subtle hues of sand. It is inspired by long walks on the beach and the wonderful sandy beaches on the Costa Blanca in Spain. In my opinion, the beauty of nature is often revealed in the details and in symmetrical compositions that stand for harmony and balance.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
