About the artwork

This picture was taken in a beautiful old monastery in the middle of Lisbon, a unique opportunity to capture a classic Portuguese combination in such a special setting. Both horse and rider exude style and tradition. The horse is a cremello Lusitano stallion, almost white with striking blue eyes, a rare and breathtaking appearance. He wears an authentic Portuguese saddle and bridle, complete with a coat behind the saddle meant for a second person. The horsewoman completes the picture with her traditional outfit: a riding skirt, a short jacket and a stylish hat.

The picture perfectly captures the essence of Portugal. The historic monastery, the ornate clothing and the imposing Lusitano exude tradition, sophistication and a touch of nostalgia. This work is not only a tribute to Portuguese heritage, but also to the beauty and harmony between horse and man.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
