About the artwork

The work 'Honeymoon Blues' shows an unusual and disturbing scene that immediately grabs the viewer's attention. The dilapidated motel bathroom, the young lady with tattoos in her red underwear and the man in the black suit all suggest that something is not quite right. The white wedding dress above the bathtub adds another layer of mystery and tension to the picture. The woman's red slip below her knees adds an erotic element to the picture and further heightens the tension. The work raises many questions about who these individuals are and what is happening. It looks like there is a big age difference between the two, evoking even more curiosity. The unsettling atmosphere of the motel, combined with the characters' unhappy faces, creates a sense of menace and uncertainty. The lighting and colour choice of the work are striking and support the cinematic mood of the picture. The work is certainly inspired by the style of Erwin Olaf, who is known for his staged photographs that often also evoke mystery and suspense. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
