A sunset over the sea of fog on the Beurener Fels is an experience that you rarely get. When the valleys of the Swabian Alb fill with thick, soft mist in autumn and the last rays of sunlight gild the horizon, an almost magical atmosphere is created. Hohenneuffen Castle rises above the white sea, its silhouette standing out sharply in the warm evening light. It looks as if it is floating above a gentle blanket of clouds - a sight that never fails to leave visitors speechless.
From the vantage point, the Black Forest is clearly visible on the horizon, its dark mountain ranges forming a striking contrast to the light-coloured foggy landscape. The clear lines of the distant mountains lend additional depth to the panorama and make the vastness of the land impressively tangible. Between the golden light, the pink evening sky and the calm white of the sea of fog, a scene is created that seems almost unreal.
The clear autumn air makes colours glow more intensely and contours stand out particularly clearly. Only the soft rustling of leaves or the call of a bird breaks the silence. One of the most beautiful views in Baden-Württemberg opens up from the Beurener Fels - a moment above the clouds that will stay in your heart for a long time.
