About ‘Historic Town Hall IJsselstein at night’ by Tony Buijse

One of the most beautiful historical attractions in IJsselstein is the old town hall on De Plaats, at the junction Utrechtsestraat and Weidstraat. William of Orange had the town hall built around 1560 with a financing of 1300 guilders. The town hall was built in the Dutch-Manneristic style. Over the centuries it has undergone various transformations. It was restored in the 70s of the 20th century and returned to its original state. This picture was taken in the evening. There is also a black and white version of this photo. See elsewhere in this album.

Tony Buijse is a Dutch photographer, lives in IJsselstein and is best known for his reports that he makes of sports competitions and events.
His landscape photos and cityscapes have been shown at several exhibitions. Much of his photo work is available as wall decoration on Werkaandemuur. Most of these photos were taken during trips and excursions.
