About ‘Highland calves’ by Rini Kools

The Highland is a mostly reddish-brown breed of cattle native to Scotland. They have long hair and long horns. Until 1849, most Highland cattle were black in colour. The story goes that in the 1840s Queen Victoria visited the Scottish Highlands and then expressed her preference for the red animals. She simply found them more beautiful. She ordered the breeding of more red highland cattle.
This breed of cattle is suitable for year-round use as large grazers, thanks in part to their thick coats. The animals are therefore frequently seen in nature and recreation areas in the Netherlands. They require little care and are rarely aggressive, but in case of an unexpected confrontation, cautious behaviour is recommended. If ample distance is kept, the animals will generally not be alarmed by human presence. Highland cattle also feed on plants that many other cattle species ignore.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
