About "Hidden truth - Fragmented perception"

by Klaus Tesching

About the artwork

This work is a fascinating exploration of perception and identity. The figure's face is flawless and surreal, but it is punctuated by geometric blocks that appear like a digital disturbance or a deliberate censorship. The eye, which normally reveals the soul, remains hidden - concealed behind solid yellow and white surfaces that draw a boundary between the figure and the viewer.

The colour combination of monochrome grey tones and bright golden yellow reinforces the contrast between the organic and the artificial. The gold on the upper surface appears weathered, as if it were a trace of a past truth that is slowly disappearing or changing. The black lips set a striking accent and lend the figure a cool, almost unattainable aura.

The horizontal arrangement of the blocks creates a movement in the picture - as if the figure is in the process of transformation or reconstruction. It remains unclear whether the blocks are concealing her or whether she herself is becoming part of a new reality in which seeing and recognising are being redefined.

"Hidden Truth - Fragmented Perception" plays with the idea that what is hidden often says more than what is visible. It invites the viewer to reflect on the nature of truth: Is what we see real, or is it just a construction? An intense work that captivates the eye and raises questions that go far beyond the image.
