About "Hidden feelings"

About the artwork

My feelings don't always show on the outside. From an early age, I masked my otherness, from autism, without knowing it. This means that on the outside you often cannot see how things are on the inside. It looks colourful, like this umbrella behind which I hide, but how is it really going behind the mask? The colours drip off the umbrella, except on me, they are not my real colours. They were not visible for a long time, depicted by the grey shoes.

Autism involves a lot of anxiety about being able to be yourself, because it is often so different from the group. Sometimes it can be useful to put on a mask, but if you do this so intensely it comes at the expense of yourself. This drawing I made in Procreate reminds me of what it costs to put myself away, so I do that less and less. I choose my own colours now, and show them more and more often!

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
