A large cloud rests on the summit of Smørkollen, a mountain in Norway with an altitude of 1060m. On the left below, you can just barely see Bitibua Kiosk in the shade. The path in the photo leads to a car park a few hundred metres below.
In September 2022, I took a fantastic road trip through southern and central Norway. On my way to Rondane National Park, I initially wanted to drive via Lillehammer, but a glance at the relief map made me decide otherwise. At first, the route was relatively boring, but that started to change after a while as the mountains came into view.
I have rarely seen such beautiful scenery. Moreover, the light was fantastic, even though it was practically the middle of the day. The sun was shining brightly, but the cloud fields made for spectacular views and a beautiful alternation between shadows and sunlight.
Every time I see this picture again, it evokes in me the wonder I felt then. Norway is such a beautiful and awe-inspiring country! And I want you to enjoy that too ;) Do you love travelling?
