About "Heartsease"

About the artwork

The Heartsease is a colourful inhabitant of sandy verges and field margins. He's a real sun worshipper, you won't meet him in the shade. You can enjoy this modest little flower all summer long, especially on the high sandy soils in our country. The well known garden violet is a cultivated variant of the wild Heartsease. It's a plant that only grows a year old. In winter you can already find the purple leaves, from May the flowers appear. Violet, light blue and white with yellow are the colours you see in the flower. The three colours in the name are somewhat modest: usually the flower is more colourful.
It's a real pioneer. Open sandy and sunny places are his preference. Preferably slightly enriched with nutrients or minerals (loam). On fallow, openwork soils, the violet can occur en masse from one year to the next. More often you see the species in more modest numbers along verges, ashlands and railways.
The flower has five colourful petals which are of course the most striking. Behind the petals you'll find the green chalice, which consists of five slips. They protect the flower when it is still in the bud. Behind the petals is a small trace, an appendix with nectar.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
