About ‘He only sees me’ by Yvette Bavelaar

He Only Sees Me is a subdued and powerful mixed media portrait in which softness and presence come together. The young woman's face takes centre stage, surrounded by subtle layers of ink, paint and transparent textures. Cool blue tones blend with warm, earthy accents, while dark shadows add depth to her gaze. The soft transitions and flowing traces of material create a dreamy, almost poetic atmosphere.

This work is part of the Women series, which depicts different emotions and stages of life. In He Only Sees Me, love takes centre stage — not as a struggle or desire, but as something natural and certain. The woman radiates calm and confidence. She has nothing to prove; she knows that she is chosen and seen for who she is.

The work is constructed using a combination of inks and other materials, with layers applied on top of each other and partially faded. This technique gives the portrait a soft, lively texture and a sense of depth.

The atmosphere is calm, warm and intimate. In an interior, this artwork brings a sense of tranquillity and emotional connection, forming a subtle but powerful focal point that continues to captivate.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
