About "Havana, Cuba"

About the artwork

Havana, Cuba, a city full of nostalgia, character and beautiful architecture. The atmosphere there is unique: dilapidated grandeur, warm colours, and those iconic American vintage cars everywhere defining the street scene. For this shoot, I was specifically looking for a place where everything would come together: light, composition and movement.

After walking around a bit, I found a quiet street overlooking the sea. The buildings on either side gave the image that typical Cuban look, and the soft light from the setting sun provided a warm glow over the scene. I had set up my camera and waited patiently for the right moment.

That moment came. A blue classic American car drove by, just as I had hoped. The colour stood out against the warm tones of the facades, and the timing was perfect. One shot, no second chance, but everything fell into place.

The composition is simple but powerful: architecture, street, sea and movement balanced. No excess, just an honest picture of Havana as I experienced it. At home, I developed the shot further, paying attention to colour, contrast and detail, so that the image retains that atmosphere.

The result is a visual portrait of a city alive with memories and rhythm. Havana in one frame, timeless, warm and full of character.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
