About the artwork

Hahnenklee-Bockswiese is a district and at the same time a village of the city of Goslar with about 1200 inhabitants.
It is located about 16 kilometers south of the city center of Goslar on a high plateau in the Upper Harz in Lower Saxony.

The Kranicher ponds are located in the Hahnenklee spa park. Both waters are separated by the dam of the smaller one and are connected by the outflow of this Small Kranicher Pond. Normally, both Kranicher ponds have the same - maximum - water level.

The ponds were created in 1674 to store the operating water necessary for driving the water wheels in the nearby silver mines. The dam of the Great Crane Pond is about 8.60 meters high and about 130 meters long. At this pond dam, which was built in the old way of construction, there is still the well preserved harrow house. This is no longer present in most of the other Upper Harz ponds built in the old construction method. In the case of reconstructions, it was usually replaced by the harrow shaft, which was integrated directly into the pond dam and was therefore less susceptible to maintenance and less expensive in the long run.

The Great Crane Pond can store up to 110,000 m³ of water, the Small Pond about 11,000 m³. Both ponds together have a length of almost 350 meters, of which the Great Kranicher Pond accounts for about 230 meters.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
