A bright blue sky peeks through grey storm clouds. In front of it, an abstract landscape in grey-blue and subtle red-brown with bushes and grasses.
At first glance, the landscape appears gloomy. But it shows bright glimmers of hope for the time after the storm. Dots of sky blue between the clouds, golden accents in the bushes and the flat landscape in the foreground.
I love the flowing watercolours and the combination of grey, blue and gold.
For this painting, I tried out new, unfamiliar watercolours and didn't know what to expect. Lots of water, a few loose brushstrokes and the motif was suddenly there. Gloomy and stormy and at the same time flowing and light. Just like life.
