During sunset, I spotted this beautiful, brand-new family on the Veluwe Randmeren lakes. The hatchlings lay safely between mother's warm wings, bobbing on the golden water. The hatchling on the right had just received a fresh fish from dad. If you look closely, you can still see a thread of slime between them, fragile evidence of this tender moment. Meanwhile, the twin sibling looks on hungrily, begging for the next morsel. Aren't they beautiful together?
