On this street you see mostly the backs of houses and gardens and parking lots. Through this gate you can see nicely the Church of Our Lady. This church is the most important monument of Breda.
I (the photographer) have lived in Breda for 20 years now, but this is a street I had never walked through before. Left behind these houses is the large shopping street of the Haagdijk. I had not expected the concrete gate and when I walked towards it, I saw the Great Church 'framed' so beautifully. So you see the church from an unexpected angle and it makes a non-typical picture, but it is certainly typical Breda.
