Golden sunset over the mudflats at Koehool by KB Design & Photography (Karen Brouwer)

During a peaceful sunset at Koehool in Friesland, the vast mudflats are transformed into a landscape full of warm golden hues and subtle reflections. The cracked clay soil, winding water channels and scattered clouds combine to form a serene scene in which light and texture enhance one another. The low tide reveals the characteristic patterns of the mudflats, making the endless horizon feel even more impressive.

The combination of the warm evening glow, the mirror-like water and the unique texture of the exposed seabed makes this landscape photograph a timeless image of the Frisian coast. It is a moment when nature takes centre stage and the silence becomes almost palpable.

This fine art landscape photograph is a wonderful choice for lovers of the Wadden Sea, Dutch coastal landscapes and tranquil nature photography. The warm colours and natural lines create an atmospheric feel that looks equally at home in both modern and rustic interiors.
