Stadshaven (Lingehaven) is a recreational marina in Gorinchem in the Dutch province of South Holland. The harbour was created by building on the banks of the Linge, where it flows into the Merwede. The photo was taken in the summer months during the so-called Golden Hour or Magic Hour. This is the hour before and after sunset. The light is often at its most beautiful then. Lights on the houses and streets turn on, creating a beautiful atmosphere. The colour of the light is created by the combination of sun and clouds. The slower shutter speed makes the water and sky appear to be in motion. Even the movement of boats and trees is visible.
Started long ago with "normal" analogue photography. With a darkroom where the "roll" was developed and the photos were printed. I now take pictures digitally for about 15 years.
