About ‘Golden harvest in San Juan Chamula, Mexico’ by Mark Sluijmers
Hanging against a rough aerated concrete wall are rows of corn cobs in warm hues: deep yellow, cream and almost black. Each cob is carefully hung, the leaves twisted into natural strands. The play of light and shadow emphasises the texture of the wall as well as the richness of the harvest.
