About "German iris - Iris germanica"

About the artwork

The picture shows a close-up of the German iris (Iris germanica), whose flowers appear in a strong purple colour with white accents and fine patterns. The structure of the petals is clearly recognisable - slightly wavy, with an almost velvety surface. The background is deliberately blurred to draw attention to the intensely coloured flower in the foreground.

The inspiration for this picture arose from the desire to capture the characteristic colour and form language of this type of iris in a reduced but precise image detail. I was particularly interested in the interplay between the rich colours and the fine lines that lay across the petals like drawings.

The atmosphere I want to create with this work is calm and focussed. It is about conscious seeing - about the invitation to engage with details that are often overlooked in passing.

In interior design, this picture acts as a striking but not obtrusive colour accent. It adds depth, texture and a touch of natural elegance, especially in light-coloured or neutral rooms.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
