GULI is a combination of two names that inspired this work. A painter from the past and a contemporary painter.
The position of the camera is chosen so that the viewer looks up at the model.
The photograph consists of multiple layers of photographs that have been merged into a whole.

My way of working is imbued with passion. Passion for photography, passion for the people I am allowed to photograph, passion for the people I work with and to whom I give courses. I wouldn't be able or willing to do it any other way.
In 2005 I started as an independent photographer. I followed an art and design course at the Royal Academy of Art in Den-Haag.
