About "From the golden Tragopogon"

by Marjolijn van den Berg

About the artwork

"From the golden Tragopogon" is a photo of a Tragopogon that has just opened. Due to the warm golden light, the fluff of the Tragopogon comes across nicely warm in colour. The background of this photo is burgundy, which colours well with the golden fluff.
Like the dandelion, a Tragopogon (also known as Morgenster) is a member of the Composite family (Asteraceae). When the flower of the Morning Star has finished flowering, it turns into a large ball of fluff, just like a Dandelion. The fluff of a Morning Star is only different from that of a Dandelion. Attached to the stalk with the seed is a kind of cobweb-like fluff. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see this clearly. You can also clearly see that, when taking this photo, I focused on about the 2nd row of fluff. I chose a shallow depth of field to create a sense of depth in the work.
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the bedroom, dining room or just above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office, waiting room or practice room!
