Frida portrayed herself nude, with her broken column beneath an elegant transparent dress. Her left leg is covered with butterflies, reminiscent of the quote "What do I want feet when I have wings to fly".
This drawing was unknown until 2007 because it was kept along with thousands of documents, photos's and artworks in one of the Blue House bathrooms, following Diego Rivera's wishes after his death.
