About "French Green"

About the artwork

Anyone who has ever been to France knows them: the so quaint green chairs in the parks, sometimes accompanied by the same colour tables. "French green" is also the colour of this beautiful wooden bench in the garden of Chateau Villandry in the Loire. The part of the garden where this bench stands is called the Water Garden.
Who wouldn't want to sit here and enjoy the peace and quiet and the view? And let all the impressions sink in for a while.
Chateau Villandry's gardens were laid out as early as the 16th century. After the chateau fell into disrepair and the gardens were neglected, Joachim Carvallo bought this chateau in the early 20th century and reconstructed the gardens according to the Renaissance model, drawing on historical sources and inspiration from Italian and French gardens.
The water garden is part of the graceful upper terraces and was designed as a reflective resting place after the colourful ornamental gardens. All water features are symmetrical, surrounded by grassy areas and ornamental trees. The design plays with reflection and harmony, a typical Renaissance theme.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
